In 2005, the first reputable Banks entered the Mexico real estate market offering Dollar loans to US and Canadian citizens. Recognizing saturation in the US Mortgage market in conjunction with several magical trips to sunny Mexico was all it took for Ryland Apsey to recognize an opportunity to not only relocate to a tropical paradise, but to continue a very successful mortgage career and be a founding Broker in this new market at the same time. Ryland’s first Mexico venture was Baja Capital Mortgage which was a Los Cabos based mortgage brokerage. BCM quickly became the #1 producing mortgage brokerage In Mexico and has remained so since inception into the market June 2006. His new company is branded to cover not only the Baja, but all of Mexico with offices currently open in Los Cabos, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta with the goal of covering all major resort destinations by 2012.
Ryland was born and educated in Cape Town South Africa and relocated to Europe in 1997. His 5 years in Europe were spent in the international imports and real estate business which was followed by a move to Colorado in 2002. There he remained till 2006 during which time a career in the mortgage business was launched. Ryland relocated full time to Los Cabos May 2006 to launch his first Mexico venture, Baja Capital Mortgage and has remained a full time resident of Mexico since then. When not in his office, Ryland can be found at any one of the many local surf breaks taking full advantage of the Mexico lifestyle.
